Holy cow, how about those winds today? A bit of damage at my house, and look what happened in Rochester.
This is the 10-year anniversary of one of the worst weather years in state history. The great North Country ice storm was a decade ago this month. (There, but for the grace of God and a few degrees’ difference, went we.) And I’m sure later this year, everyone will be telling and retelling and retelling their own personal Labor Day Storm Stories.
Not enough wind for ya? Don’t forget, the Guv’s State of the State speech takes place this afternoon. (I’m sure Cap Confidential will have lots of good coverage.) The most interesting news is that on
Monday Wednesday, he’ll be having a “State of the Upstate” speech in Buffalo. As with the appointment of Dan Gundersen, Upstate Czar, the fact that he’s having one at all is probably far more momentous than anything specific he will be saying.
Updated: The speech. More later.
